Customers
Customers
Customers are the people who receive services. They can be created manually by staff or arrive through the external booking flow.
External vs Internal
- Internal customers are created and managed by your staff within the dashboard.
- External customers arrive through the public booking widget. An external customer record is created automatically when they book for the first time.
Notes and Allergies
Each customer profile has two free-text fields for contextual information:
- Notes — general information about the customer (preferences, visit history, anything relevant to service delivery).
- Allergies — medical or product allergies. Displayed prominently in the appointment view as a safety reminder for staff.
These fields are only visible to your staff and are never shared with the customer.
Additional Profile Fields
- Birthday — used to calculate age and for birthday marketing or reminders.
- Join date — when the customer was first registered.
- Recommended by — tracks referrals. Accepts a free-text name or a reference to another customer.
- Phone — used for SMS notifications and manual contact.
Status
Customers can be Active or Deactivated. Deactivating a customer prevents new bookings from being created for them without deleting their history.
