Roles & Permissions

Access in Schedulion is controlled by the role assigned to each employee account. There are three roles: Admin, Manager, and User.

Admin

Full access to everything, including:

  • All organisation settings and billing
  • Creating and deleting locations, services, teams
  • Managing all employees (including granting/revoking access)
  • Viewing all appointments across all locations
  • System logs and audit history

Only Admins can delete the organisation or change the billing plan.

Manager

Operational access without billing or destructive controls:

  • Managing bookings and appointments for any location
  • Creating and updating employees, customers, services, and inventory
  • Viewing team and location reports
  • Cannot access billing settings
  • Cannot delete core entities (locations, organisation)

User

Limited to their own working context:

  • Viewing and managing their own appointments
  • Viewing the calendar for their assigned location
  • Updating their own profile and notification preferences
  • Cannot see other employees' personal details or organisation-wide reports

Plan-Based Restrictions

Some features are only available on higher billing plans regardless of role. For example, Working Shifts and Teams are Gold-only features. A Manager on a Bronze plan cannot access these even though their role would otherwise permit it.
